Recording sessions - behind the scenes!

#1 Post autor: hp_gof » pt kwie 29, 2011 22:44 pm

Tak sobie koresponduję z London Symphony Orchestra na facebooku i ciekawych rzeczy można się dowiedzieć. Mam nadzieję, że nie pytam o rzeczy oczywiste, które wszyscy wiedzą z wyjątkiem mnie :D

Moje pytanie:
"I'm wondering what happens to the sheet music after recording sessions of the soundtracks?"

London Symphony Orchestra:
"It depends! Often people want to hire the music to play themselves, so the composers take the music and arrange it into suites, or if it can be hired as is, extra copies are made. Sometimes it's just archived.
There's a great/terrible story ...that sometime in the past, a big Hollywood Studio was looking to get rid of their stash of film scores, and at the same time the Bel Air Golf Club was being built - there was a pit into which a lot of sheet music was tipped as handy landfill! Scary thought as to what kind of gems were lost: Rosza, Steiner, Korngold, Newman..."

Kontynuując pytanie:
"Do you have to sign any 'confidentiality clause' until the soundtrack is released to avoid leaking of it?"

London Symphony Orchestra:
"The sheet music wouldn't be made available until the film is out, so there's no opportunities for leaks anyway! We all agree not to leak any details during sessions because it would ruin the film for people waiting to see it."
