I am not sure when Hollywood records is releasing it. I know that they are doing a combined song & score release on vinyl, and I'm not sure if they will be sold as a 2-cd set. I'm usually the last to know when these things are released...

Poczekajmy spokojnie z przedwczesnymi ocenami. I po raz kolejny przywołuję "Super" właśnie w reżyserii Jamesa Gunna, gdzie taki mix piosenek i score'u bardzo dobrze się sprawdził.
Nie ukrywam, choć może będę tego żałował, ale mam pewne oczekiwania wobec tego score'u.

W "Watchmen" też się sprawdził, głównie dlatego że scoru było tyle, co kot napłakał.

no i to był chyba już fragment z podłożoną muzyką Batesa, napisów na końcu nie było, także 100% pewności nie ma, ale nie sądzę, żeby kogoś innego specjalnie zatrudnili No i tak na początku to tak mało co tam leciało, jakieś 5 sekund wychwyciłem i już sobie pomyślałem, że u Batesa jak zwykle kupa. Później pojawiła się piosenka "Hooked on a Feeling". No i po tym zostałem pozytywnie zaskoczony, bo jak zaczęła się akcja to nagle rozbrzmiała orkiestra i do tego z chórem, no i muszę przyznać, że całkiem fajny kawałek, nie jakiś geniusz, żeby już fapować na myśl o tym soundtracku i szykować się do dawania piąteczek Ale kawałek akcji, którego żaden kompozytor by się nie powstydził i jak reszta score'u przynajmniej w większości będzie na tym poziomie to może będzie czwórkowy score Temat główny (o ile to on był on, ale na końcu tak rozbrzmiał, że mam wrażenia, że chyba tak) mógłby być trochę bardziej wyrazisty, ale zobaczymy jak to będzie w pełnej wersji, bo tutaj to była tylko fanfara trwająca z kilkanaście sekund.

Ha, ja od samego początku i już od 5 stron powtarzam, żeby nie przekreślać Batesa, gdyż mam jakiś taki good feeling, że akurat "Guardians of the Galaxy" może wyjść dobre i może wtedy też co niektórzy przestaną jeździć po Batesie jak po burej suce.

Music plays a major role in “Guardians of the Galaxy” as the 1970s songs featured in the film are part of the storyline in a unique way. Explaining how the songs come to play in the story, director James Gunn says, “One of the main story points in the movie is that Quill has this compilation tape [Awesome Mix Vol. 1] that he got from his mother before she died that she made for him. It was of songs that she loved, all songs from the 1970s, and that’s the only thing he has left of his mother and that’s the only thing he has left of his home on Earth. He uses that as a connection to his past and to the sadness that he feels of having left all that and lost all that.”

Gunn also asked composer Tyler Bates to complete some of the tracks for the movie before the start of principal photography so he could play them on set. “The score is also very important,” says Gunn. “I worked very hard early on with Tyler Bates, our composer, whom I’ve done three other movies with, to write part of the score ahead of time so that I’m able to use it on set for big emotional sequences and big action sequences. We can actually play the music on set and the actors can really understand where we’re going with it tonally. Our actors have a much better idea of what this film is because of the music that we use, both score and soundtrack.”

Dokładniej mówiąc będą 3 soundtracki:

Hollywood Records and Marvel are set to release three albums from Marvel’s "Guardians of the Galaxy" on July 29, 2014.

Czyli będzie wspomniany soundtrack z piosenkami. Będzie też osobny score, plus wydanie Deluxe (zapewne 2 CD score i piosenki)

Ojej, w Sucker Punch też były epickie chóry i orkiestra, ale taka to była sieczka, że dobrze, że się nie ukazała.

Piosenki to w sumie powinny zostać wydane też na kasecie, ta okładka poprzednia to jest z filmu wzięta, Quill ma właśnie dokładnie taką kasetę ze swoimi ulubionymi hitami

What's my favorite part of #guardiansofthegalaxy? It just may be the awe-inspiring score by Tyler Bates - a new school riff on the old school big themes of movies like Superman and Star Wars. It still blows my mind and movies me to tears.
