We are thrilled to present this Encore release of one of Georges Delerue’s classic scores from the 1980s. Crimes of the Heart (1986) is an exceptionally beautiful work and our soundtrack has been out of print for over 20 years. In this score, Delerue highlights the saxophone, along with all of his usual, unmistakable and magical touches.
The film stars Diane Keaton, Jessica Lange and Sissy Spacek and is directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy).

We revisit another great score from 1986 with Maurice Jarre’s epic Tai-Pan. Jarre created one of his most powerful and surging symphonic themes for this troubled film of James Clavell’s novel about the struggle between Scottish opium smuggler Dirk Struan and the Chinese to maintain control of British-occupied Hong Kong. Bringing the novel to the screen brought its own decades- long conflict, with Hollywood, European and Chinese forces caught in its grasp.
Bryan Brown and Joan Chen starred in the film directed by Daryl Duke (The Thorn Birds).

A basketball movie along the lines of Hoosiers, THE MIGHTY MACS is based on the incredible true story of the 1971-72 Immaculata College team that started in obscurity but became the original Cinderella story in women's basketball. This team of pioneers went from barely making that inaugural tournament to the first dynasty in their game.
William Ross fires up the brass and timpani and lets the strings soar in this wonderful, rousing score in the tradition of Rudy.
Sony Pictures Home Video released the DVD on February 21.
