10 marca wyszedł soundtrack z "Octopath Traveler: Conquerers of the Continent", prequela "Octopath Traveler". Muzykę znów napisał Nishiki. Jedynka to imho najbarwniejszy i najbogatszy tematycznie game score od czasu pierwszego "Ninokuni" Joe, także na pewno obadam całość. Będzie 46 kawałków, 131 minut muzyki.

Nadaje na podobnych falach, ale nie robi już takiego wrażenia jak jedynka. Sporo tu rockowo-chóralnej akcji, często wzbogaconej skrzypcami, niestety trochę zlewającej się i na dłuższą metę nużącej. Do tego część kawałków to przeklejki z poprzedniego soundtracku. Dopiero trzeci krążek przynosi trochę wytchnienia z przyjemnymi aranżacjami tematu miasta. Godnych zapamiętania melodii jest tu względnie niewiele. Highlightem jest tu z pewnością temat Helminii, który w niczym nie ustępuje świetnym tematom z jedynki.

Niespodzianka, Bobby Krlic (Midsommar) zrobił muzę do nowego hitu na PS5 "Returnal":

Takie ambientowe granie. Klimat ma, ale to też nie dla każdego muzyka. Przy czym takie wydanie ścieżki dźwiękowej do gry, kiedy normalnie większość trwa po kilka godzin, to rzeczywiście zaskoczenie i to w sumie na plus.

Stonowana klimatyczna retro elektronika, choć pod koniec jest nieco żywiej, ale i tak dwie godziny bitów rodem z "Dying Light" potrafi znużyć, mimo, iż Kawai przychodzi czasami z odsieczą

Rzeczywiście, słychać Kawai'ego. W sumie właśnie sobie zdałem sprawę, że dawno nic nowego od niego nie słuchałem.

Lubię muzykę z Dying Lights i tutaj zacząłem słuchać ten soundtrack i po pierwszym kawałku w pełni kupuję klimat. Ale i dalej, tym bardziej się to dłuży i w sumie muzyka staje się strasznie monotonna. Chociaż przebłyski Kawaia ma.
