Re: Jonny Greenwood
Po premierze "Psich pazurów" w Wenecji. Wysyp bardzo mocnych recenzji.
the fact that its jittery score is by Jonny Greenwood isn't the only thing it has in common with There Will Be Blood.
The terrific, psyche-shredding score - which, like a few items here, may remind some viewers of There Will Be Blood - was supplied by Jonny Greenwood.
Composer Jonny Greenwood adds another audacious credit to his CV, with a string-dominated score punctuated by chilling horns and, at one point, manically nervy high notes on the piano, channeling certain 20th-century composers (Charles Ives, Bartok, Messaien, Shostakovich) in a way that ought to feel at odds with the wild prairie setting, but has a spareness that’s absolutely at one with it.
The Jonny Greenwood musical score adds to the edgy atmosphere.
The mounting dread embedded in the narrative and enhanced by the increasingly agitated strings of Jonny Greenwood’s atmospheric score — which is right up there with the Radiohead musician’s powerful work on There Will Be Blood — seems to have set the story on an inevitable trajectory toward sorrow.
On an evening when the last rays of sunlight leave shadow puppets on the mountainsides and Jonny Greenwood’s lush score hangs particularly uneasy in the air [...]
Gorgeously shot by Ari Wegner and impeccably scored by Jonny Greenwood

Patrząc jak opisywany jest ten score to może szykuje się nam "Marek Łach: Reaktywacja".

Re: Jonny Greenwood
Z recek "Spencer". Tym razem JG idzie w jazz?
Between Jonny Greenwood's squalling jazz soundtrack, the hallucinations, and the blush-making sexual confessions, Spencer is a folly that wobbles between the bold and the bad, the disturbingly gothic and the just plain silly.
Under the utterly gorgeous melodies of Jonny Greenwood‘s absolutely-should-be-Oscar-winning score (between this and Jane Campion‘s “The Power of the Dog,” Greenwood is already inarguably the musical MVP of Venice)
The latter comparison is emphasised by Jonny Greenwood’s brilliant but sometimes heavy-handed score which deftly combines prim, dinnertime minuettes with clanging atonal dirges.
Larraín again adopts that film’s blend of gliding formal precision and brash, delicious bad taste, though Mica Levi’s alien score from Jackie has been swapped out for equally unnerving, shuddering free-jazz compositions by Jonny Greenwood.
The music by Jonny Greenwood (who contributed an evocative score for another film premiering in Venice, Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog), is as bracing and risky as anything else in Larraín’s film, shifting from melodic piano and string themes early on into discordant free-form jazz or oppressive pipe organ passages as Diana’s self-possession unravels.
It is of course an early metaphor for Diana’s more existential sense of loss as she heads to the palace accompanied by a dissonant trumpet score, composer Jonny Greenwood twisting the traditional sounds of heraldry into something creepy and unsettling.
[...] And Jonny Greenwood’s ominous jazzy score seems to have a direct pipeline to Diana’s emotions.

Greenwood niejako w końcu potwierdził na twitterze swój udział (choć znikomy) u nowego Andersona, ale potem usunął posta. Zachował się screen.

Re: Jonny Greenwood
Całkiem spoko te "Psie pazury" w filmie, choć momentami miałem wrażenie, że bardziej muza pasowałaby do jakiegoś sequela "The Thing" niż do antywesternowego dramatu, bo z wielu fragmentów bije chłód i taka izolacja.
