Oj wynudził Krzysiu, wynudził.
Chyba zabawa w sound designerstwo mocno mu siadła, bo praktycznie tylko to tutaj uprawa. Kilka zacnych pomysłów z cięciami i unikatowymi brzmieniami, ale można odnieść wrażenie, że wszystko to już w jakimś stopniu przerabiał. Na plus kilka wynurzeń z wokalami (chórami) - zwłaszcza w końcówce. Długość zdecydowanie na niekorzyść. Jakby ukleił z tego 35 minut klimatycznego, nawet asłuchalnego soundtracku, to byłoby lepiej, a tak pewnie raczej nieprędko do tego wrócę... No chyba że dla dwóch ostatnich kawałków... i do recenzji... No chyba, że Wawrzek mnie wyręczy

Musiałbym film zobaczyć i znaleźć czas.
Cały soundrack może nie jest z gatunku miłych, łatwych i przyjemnych. Czasami trudno odróżnić co Lustmord, a co Young. Widać , że od Sinister Christopher Young dalej podąża w sounddesign, ale takie utwory jak ten to ja bardzo lubię:
Na całe szczęście widocznie Młody Krzyś nie zapomniał że score do horroru musi mieć temat, a nie być zbiorem atonalnych straszaków.

Cały score do ciężki, ale z przebłyskami. I rzeczywiście czasami trudno ocenić co Lustmord, a co Young. Ale dwa ostatnie kawałki są naprawdę bardzo dobre, a "In a Prison Build Out of Lies", które wkleiłem wcześniej, zaliczam do najlepszych utworów roku!!!

O proszę, jeśli chodzi o jakieś niszowe projekty to jednak Sam Raimi pamięta jeszcze o Krzysiu. "50 States of Fright" to serialowa antologia, a "The Golden Arm (Michigan)" to pierwszy odcinek pierwszego sezonu, który był wyemitowany w 3 częściach i za których scenariusz i reżyserię odpowiadał właśnie Sam.

Po fragmentach słychać trochę ostatnio typowego u Chrisa eksperymentowania. Ale pod koniec znowu pojawia się ładny chór i możliwe, że podobnie jak przy "Empty Man", otrzymamy naprawdę ładny finał ścieżki.
W sumie to recka, która już była opublikowana ale dodałem 3 akapity o wersji rozszerzonej, bo nie widziałem potrzeby pisać tekstu na nowo, bo dalej w 100% podpisuję się pod tym, co wcześniej napisałem.

Dwa nowe horrory od Younga się szykują. Pytanie tylko brzmi jak bardzo one będę Youngiem eksperymentatorem od czasów Sinister, a na ile będą bardziej klasycznie brzmiały?
rimetime Emmy-nominated composer Christopher Young has one hell of a resume in the horror world, lending his musical talents to fan-favorite films including A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, The Fly II, Tales from the Hood, Urban Legend, Drag Me to Hell, Sinister, and more recently last year’s The Empty Man.
What’s next from Young, you ask? Millennium Media has let Bloody Disgusting know today that Christopher Young is set to compose music for their upcoming horror thriller Abyzou.
For starters, here’s the plot rundown for the film: “Set in the Hasidic world, a family struggling with unresolved trauma finds themselves at the mercy of an ancient demon bent on destroying them from the inside. Tapping into Jewish demonology, Abyzou is a harrowing drama with an exciting twist on classic horror conventions.”
Young said in a statement, “I’m so immensely excited to have been given the opportunity to write the score for Abyzou, an intensely unique picture that’s going to inspire me to go to musical places I’ve never been. Oliver Park is the new great thing to happen to horror films, how lucky I am that he chose me to guide his vision to the finish line. And to top it off, I get to be a member of the great Millennium Media team!”
Director Oliver Park added, “When we think of great composers in horror, there are very few names on the list, but one name that will always command that space is Christopher Young. I’ve been a fan of Chris since I was too young to know who he was! I was obsessed with horror films, and one of the first films I ever watched was Hellraiser. I developed a keen interest in sound as it truly is what makes horror great, and I would often listen to Christopher Young soundtracks while reading horror novels. Abyzou was set to be scary before, but now he’s involved, even I’m afraid!”
The film, based on a demonic Kabbalistic legend, is directed by Oliver Park, and written by Hank Hoffman from a story by Hoffman and Jonathan Yunger.
Abyzou recently wrapped production at Millennium’s Nu Boyana Studios.
Young is also attached to score another Millennium films production, The Piper written and directed by Erlingur Thoroddsen. The horror movie follows a young composer who is given the opportunity of a lifetime when she is tasked with finishing her late mentor’s concerto, but soon discovers that playing the music summons deadly consequences. Yunger, Weldon, Greenstein and Lerner are producing the project with Bernard Kira and Tanner Mobley. No production start date has been announced yet.

Przesłuchałem sobie ten podcast i tak niestety można z niego dojść do wniosku, że każdy kolejny soundtrack Christophera Younga to będą muzyczne i dźwiękowe eksperymenty. Kiedy wśród tych gości Young wyróżniał się jako ten najbardziej melodyjny, tak w tym podcaście mówi, że jego melodyjne horrorowate prace były często podyktowane życzeniami filmowców i panującą modą. A teraz cieszy się, że może wreszcie eksperymentować z dźwiękiem, tak jak inni. Gdyż w przeszłości kiedy tak próbował, to często był blokowany przez reżyserów i producentów.

Chris pochwalił się, że zrobił muzę do nowego serialu Apple "Echo 3". Premiera dziś, a twórcą jest scenarzysta The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty i Triple Frontier i sama produkcja wygląda na podobne klimaty, co dla samego scoru może nie być już tak dobrą wiadomościa
