Just received this release in the mail today, and I have to say I am very disappointed in the sound quality. Lots of little dropouts, lots of wow and flutter. Very flat sounding, too. Not at all what I had hoped for. The persistent hiss of the unmentionable is gone, but in many places this release is very hard to listen to. I know the score is 22 years old, but man... so bummed right now.
Edit: After a quiet, critical headphone listen I can take back a lot of the criticism about wow and flutter (probably a software playback issue on my end). The overall flat sound, general distortion during loud passages, and the relative lack of dynamic range do still exist unfortunately. It's listenable, but to be honest it doesn't sound much better than a well-made bootleg.
