Movie director Derek Cianfrance about his work with composer Alexandre Desplat: “While I wrote the screenplay, I would listen to classic movie soundtracks. I knew I wanted this film to exist in an epic symphonic place, where the music would express the intimate yet expansive emotions of the landscapes and the characters. There was only one modern composer whose music inspired the words on the page, the images in my mind, and the feelings in my heart -Alexandre Desplat. I sent him the screenplay and he (thankfully) said yes. Filmmaking demands collaborative inspiration and trust. I explained to Alexandre that his music inspired the script. And then I asked him to compose a short piano piece that Alicia Vikander could learn, so that her character, Isabel, could actually be playing for real in the scenes. I wanted to have the music exist dietetically inside the movie (think the harmonica in Leone’s ONCE UPON A T IME IN THE WEST or harmonica in Woo’s THE KILLER). After a couple of weeks, Alexandre sent me the most beautiful piece of music - ISABEL. Alicia went on to learn it, and it became our emotional north star. […] Over the next few months, I was able to collaborate with a true master. His music gave my film coherence, emotion, and most importantly, soul. Ładne, słuchałby Brakowało mi trochę w tym roku takiego grania.

Mnie na razie nie przekonuje. Nie tego się spodziewałem. Ale wychodzi na to, że to nie tylko same klipy, ale cały score jest już w sprzedaży. Aczkolwiek jeszcze się na niego nie natknąłem w necie.

Tam jest September 2 także jeszcze trzeba nieco poczekać. Wszystkich klipów nie słuchałem, ale ten projekt właśnie pachniał mi takim Desplatem z rzędu Tree of Life czy Every Thing Will Be Fine, zobaczymy jak całość.

No niby 2 września, ale album już do koszyka można włożyć i jak klikasz dalej to normalnie można go kupić.

Tak można podsumować całą płytę.
Generalnie zestaw typowo Olkowy: smyki + fortepian, choć nie w najlepszym jego wydaniu.
O ile pierwszy i ostatni utwór fajowe i łatwo wpadające w ucho, o tyle środek płyty poooootwornie nuuuuuudny. Olek urządza tu sobie festiwal skrajnego minimalizmu.
Dwa razy przesłuchane i szczerze poza dwoma kawałkami niewiele w głowie pozostaje. Może więc kiedyś się do tego wróci, ale chyba raczej płytka w formie fizycznej do kolekcji nie wleci.

Mimo słabo przychylnej opinii Ghostiego, dam mimo wszystko temu szanse i posłucham całe gdy wyjdzie. w końcu to Desplat a nie lamy z RCP.
