Film madonny pozwolił zaistnieć w Hollywood Thomasowi Newmanowi. Zobacz, gdyby nie Madonna, może Thomas nie stworzyłby Zielonej Mili, Nemo i innych rzeczy. Z drugiej strony.. może stworzyłby coś lepszego?

From the makers of the hit ICE AGE series comes RIO, a comedy adventure about taking a walk on the wild side. Blu (Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network) is a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, living a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda (Leslie Mann, Knocked Up) in the small town of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Blu and Linda think he's the last of his kind, but when they learn about another Macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the faraway and exotic land to find Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu's female counterpart. Not long after they arrive, Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by a group of bungling animal smugglers. With the help of street smart Jewel, and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu escapes. Now, with his new friends by his side, Blu will have to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda, the best friend a bird ever had.
In addition to Eisenberg, Hathaway and Mann, characters in RIO are also voiced by will.i.am, Jamie Foxx, Jemaine Clement, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Rodrigo Santoro, and Jane Lynch. RIO was directed by Carlos Saldanha, whose box office hits include the Ice Age trilogy.
Composer John Powell, coming off his Academy Award nomination for How To Train Your Dragon, adds another spirited score to his long list of animated hits (Ice Age: The Meltdown, Happy Feet, Shrek).
20th Century Fox will open RIO nationwide on April 15.

Academy Award nominee Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Queen) provides a beautifully pastoral score. The CD also features Enrico Caruso’s performance of the song, “Core ‘Ngrato,” used so prominently in the film.

ocena za niska ale nie chce mi się pisać komenta i moich uwag bo miałyby one objętość tyle co recka - swoją drogą bardzo wybiórcza. Nie jest to score dla wszystkich i nie jest tak uniwersalny jak Różyczka co było z góry łatwe do wydedukowania zanim on w ogóle powstał, po tematyce filmu ode mnie 3,5/5 - jeden z dwóch, trzech Lorenców (Symetria+Kroll) których nie da się słuchać bez znajomości filmu i zrozumienia czemu tak a nie inaczej zostało to zaproponowane muzycznie.
